Flat Pat
What wonderful boys and girls we have in the Junior Room! They have just written and published their first book in collaboration with 7 other junior classes from two teacher schools around the country. The foreword of the book is written by none other than the current Minister for Education, Norma Foley. Based on the "Flat Stanley" series of books, "Flat Pat" visited the Junior Classroom before Christmas.
They told him all about places to visit in Donegal before posting him on to another school.
Each of the eight schools has a chapter in the book. The project was organised by Clogher N.S. in Co.Kerry. (Ms. Farry is a past pupil of this school.)
This book will be available to purchase from the school next week and details will be posted later.
Thanks to Ms. McEleney for involving the class in this lovely project. I'm sure the boys and girls will treasure this book for years to come.
Participating schools included 2 from Donegal, 2 from Kerry, 2 from Cork 1 from Kilkenny and 1 from Galway.
